Expo?

Today I went the the Health and Lifestyle Expo in Brisbane at the Convention Centre. Interesting cause I also went last year. But alas, I was a little dissappointed... it was pretty much exactly the same as last year, and, even worse, I realised that I am still in the same place as I was last year in regards to my health, althought probably a little worse. Oh well at least I picked up some things that I AM interested in. We will see what comes when I attend a course on the 8th of August.

I have been thinking a lot about what I was like 3-4 years ago. I wish that I could combine my health back then with the person that I am today... so I have been thinking a lot about the things that I used to do. I hope to some to some kind of resolution soon! XOXO

Mmmm...Lime Milkshakes

I love lime milkshakes. It's my absolute favourite flavour. You see its all about the surprise... you think of the words 'lime' and 'milk' and they really don't belong together in any sentence in the english language. Except for the following one: 'Can I have a lime milkshake please?' For the uninitiated... go now. Go forth and claim your title on the best tasting milk based drink known to man.

Ok so enough about lime milkshakes...

I'm nearly finished a book... first one in aaaaages. It's called 'Inca Gold' by Clive Cussler. I'm at the stage where the hero is now on his own snorkelling through an underwater river in Mexico after crashing his hovercraft and the sidekick being left on the riverbank with 2 broken legs due to going over a waterfall. Don't you love fiction!

I'm also about to have 1 day of proper holidays... tomorrow. The winter holidays started about 5 weeks ago after an agonising exam period... and it's been all go since then... receiving and training a CEEDer, going to July conference in Sydney for 2 weeks, working heaps to pay off the good old NAB. So I declared tomorrow to be a holiday. Finally!

XOXO Jess.

Just Playing

10 Things about me
1. My name is Jessica... but you can call me Jess or Jessie.
2. I love my EB, they are the best ever!
3. Sometimes I stay up late to watch the Tour de France live... but I can only tell you the names of a few riders. I like the pink team... I think its Jan Ullrich's. Go Cadel Evans!
4. I own a Datsun 120Y... its the love of my life.
5. I work at random events in Brisbane. Today I'll be serving the theatre performers by afternoon and the Brisbane Lions fans by night.
6. I think that Brisbane should be re-branded as the family city. If anyone wants to raise a family, this is the perfect place to do it!
7. I love to go play trivia at the Red Room (the uni bar) on Wednesday nights instead of having meetings. So far we have won $150 worth of bar tabs and about 7 jugs of beer.
8. I'm studying a dual degree in Business Management and Economics at UQ (www.uq.edu.au). I'm finishing off Business Management this year and taking a break to go overseas and have some pretty big decisions to make regarding my next moves (... in AIESEC).
9. My closest confidant (Ruthie!!) left last night to work on the CC in india for IC05. I really wanted to pack up and go with.
10. It's rare that Brisbane has cloudy or rainy weather... but today is overcast and someone is welding next door.

XOXO Jess.
